A Tribute to Jerome Shannon
Where: Mobile Arts Council (318 Dauphin St.)
When: Through
March 28
For a decade, Mobile Opera has flourished under the direction of Jerome Shannon and his time at the helm is drawing to a close. In honor of such, The Mobile Arts Council has arranged its own mark of gratitude.
The tribute to Shannon features a series of photographs on loan from Press-Register files of Shannon in action over the last ten years. An opening reception will take place during the March 14 LoDa Artwalk
Fittingly, the reception is sandwiched between nights of the Mobile Opera’s performance of Andrea Chenier at the Mobile Civic Center Theater.
Also premiering at MAC is artwork from students of Cottage Hill Christian Academy in West Mobile.

Funds from the show will pay the band’s travel expenses to Montreux this summer.

Musical Arts Series passes will not be honored at this event.
