Session
Where:

City Lodge
(601 State St.)
When:
Monday,
July 28,
6:30 p.m.
Musicians are often forced to play to the tastes of the audience regardless of how it meshes with their personal preferences. As a result, they relish the opportunity to break out of familiar confines and delve further into improvisational art.
The Mystic Order of the Jazz Obsessed presents a chance for area players to strut their stuff before uncommonly appreciative fans on Monday, July 28 in the historic home of MOJO adjacent to Dunbar Performing Arts School in downtown Mobile.
The rhythm section will be Corky Hughes and Vibration Configuration, a stellar combo in their own right who elicited rave reviews at two previous MOJO events this year.
Entrance is $10, $7 for MOJO members and free for all participating musicians. MOJO members are asked to bring a covered dish in true summer picnic fashion.
A cash bar will be available.
