Celestial
Where: Chesser Gallery, 306 Dauphin St.
When: May 7-31
The sky is a symbol of aspiration and anticipation, wonder and recoil. Whether the endless azure of a crisp winter canopy or the bubbling turmoil of a tempest, the sky abides dreams and drama.
This heavenly theme connects the works of Bertice McPherson, Wayne McNeil and Jerry Childers on display at Chesser Gallery during May. Themes of constellations and heavenly bodies abound in the tiny shop that normally fills fast during ArtWalks. It sometimes works best to stop by various times during the night to find the most suitable occupancy and have a chance to see all of the work within.
Gallery hours are Tues – Thurs, 11- 4; Sat 11 – 2.
