With fall (hopefully) drawing ever so closer, it is once again time for the “Rileigh & Raylee Angel Ride and Concert.” This year’s Angel Ride is scheduled for Nov. 5-6 at Oak Hollow Farms on the E-Sho. This annual event raises money for children with special medical needs. Country music superstar Blake Shelton has been confirmed as the headliner for this year’s event.
Shelton has been crooning out hits for almost 10 years running. His latest collaborative effort with Trace Adkins (“Hillbilly Bone”) earned him an Academy of Country Music Award for “Vocal Event of the Year” and a CMT Music Award for “Collaborative Video of the Year.”
In addition to Shelton, Angel Ride will also feature performances from Mustang Sally, The Leavin’ Brothers, The Travis Murray Band and The Tip Tops.

Local guitarist Ashlea Penquite and her group Under the Tree has been busy at Mudbrick Studios laying down tracks. Even though they are draft tracks, they are a very refreshing mix of electronica, folk and modern jazz.
In other Mudbrick news, this local studio has been hard at work with their new music show “M2B.” This program will feature performances with local artists as well as their stories. Catch it on Saturday nights on WPMI right after “Saturday Night Live.”
