Irritable Bowel Syndrome Research Study
Be part of a FREE cognitive behavioral therapy research study!
Participant requirements:
- Must be an adult between 19 and 85 years of age
- Must be diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome
The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) program with individuals who have been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It is hypothesized that individuals who participate in the 8 week group therapy will benefit with a reduction of symptoms and decreased severity of symptoms. Participants will not be required to stop or alter current medications and no medications will be given.
This study is being conducted by the University of South Alabama Psychology Graduate Department at the USA Psychological Clinic.
