Iron Hand Brewing has become one of De Tonti Square’s best kept secrets. In recent months, this neighborhood brewpub/eatery has added music to its mix with a regular lineup of solo and duo artists such as Nori Hendrix.
In 2013, Hendrix moved to the Gulf Coast for what she saw as fertile grounds for her musical creativity. A year later, she entered the studio with singer-songwriter/producer Howard Lips, who was discovered by Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton. The end result was a collaborative effort between Lips and Hendrix called “Memories of the Mother Church.”
Hendrix’s traditional country with a nod to modern styles has earned this singer-songwriter several awards. In 2018 the Alabama Music Association recognized her as the “Entertainer and Female Vocalist of the Year.”
This year the North American Country Music Association International awarded her for “Traditional Country Band of the Year.” Hendrix is also now represented by Music Victors Agency, which is working with her on a single and music video.
