AHSAA soccer playoffs set to begin

The Alabama High School Athletic Association boys and girls soccer championships begin this week with first-round matches. Class 4A-5A and Class 6A matches will begin on Thursday, April 22, with Class 1A-3A and Class 7A matches set to begin on Monday, April 26.

 

Here are the first-round matches announced thus far involving teams in the Lagniappe coverage scheduled in the coming days (team records listed when available):

UMS-Wright (5-6-1) at Faith Academy (9-5), Thursday, April 22, 5:30 p.m.

 

Satsuma (11-5) at St. Michael (7-3-3), Thursday, April 22, 6 p.m. (at Christ the King)

 

Class 6A

 

St. Paul’s (3-2-3) at Spanish Fort (8-3-1), Friday, April 23, 6 p.m.

 

Baldwin County at McGill-Toolen, Friday, April 23, 5 p.m.

Providence Christian (7-6-2) at Cottage Hill Christian (12-1-4), Tuesday, April 27, 5:30 p.m.

 

Bayside Academy at Trinity Presbyterian (17-8), Tuesday, April 27, 5:30 p.m.

 

Class 7A

 

Mary G. Montgomery (8-7) at Fairhope (14-0-3), Monday, April 26, 5:30 p.m.

 

Daphne (9-5-3) at Baker (10-6-1), Tuesday, April 27, 6:30 p.m.
