The Blind Mule has become one of the Azalea City’s best venues for experiencing new local bands. For this show, two locals will climb into the bar and restaurant’s “attic” to lend support to an out-of-towner. Newcomer Fighting for Apollo will debut some of the local scene’s newest sounds.
Mobile’s The Hallers will also lend support. Founded in 2012, The Hallers have gone through the lineup growing pains that affect many bands. However, that hasn’t stopped the band from crafting what they call “indie rock with a heavy alternative rock influence.”
Birmingham’s Through the Sparks completes the triple bill. A Communicating Vessels/Skybucket Records artist, the band has performed its suave indie rock from the Magic City to South by Southwest. Its music consistently maintains both its complexity and its attractiveness, with an ethereal style of indie rock. The live translation of its studio tracks should make for an interesting set.
