When members of a certain British comedy troupe decided to turn their classic 1975 film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” into a Broadway musical, it caught a lot of attention. How much? Well, it was nominated for 14 Tony Awards and won three of them, including “Best Musical.” Its initial run lasted more than 1,500 performances and pulled in over 2 million attendees.
Little wonder then Mobile has been abuzz with anticipation for this local incarnation of the Arthurian lampoon. Ticket sales have been moving at a brisk pace, so reservations are recommended.
Friday and Saturday curtains are at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $20, $15 for seniors and military and $10 for students.
