Editor:

I drive from Mobile to McIntosh every day to work. In the past three weeks I have encountered seven wrecks (I refuse to call them accidents). Every day I see vehicles exceeding the speed limit by at least 40 mph. I NEVER see blue lights except at the scene of a crash.

I am truly in fear for my life and well being, not because of my “so-called” dangerous occupation as a pipefitter, but my commute to and from work with these unregulated fools!

Where are the police in Creola, Mt. Vernon, Mobile, Prichard and Saraland? Are they standing by a cash register sipping on a free cup of coffee and a donut, hoping the girl behind the counter will really go for a guy in uniform? Until the next call over the radio, got to go, another crash …
