A 15-year-old juvenile has been arrested by the Mobile Police Department in relation to a shooting that took place on Sunday, June 28, at a red light at the intersection of Dauphin and Monterey streets.According to a police report from the incident, a female in her twenties, whose name hasn’t been released, was shot in the face after being confronted by four unknown male subjects.
Police later reported she drove herself to Mobile Infirmary but had lost sight in one of her eyes because of the gunshot wound.
Today, officers located and interviewed a 15-year-old boy in reference to this assault. He was subsequently charged with first-degree assault and robbery in addition to discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
Due to the juvenile’s age, he was transported to Strickland Youth Center and his name wasn’t released to the media. However, police are currently petitioning the court to have him tried as an adult at which point his name would be released to the public.
