Police have a made an arrest in last Thursday’s murder of an elderly Mobile man, but other suspects are still being sought.
Xavier Graham, 21, was arrested this week and charged with the murder of Booker Green — a 90-year-old, long-time resident of the Dixie Park neighborhood.
According to police, Green was robbed by “a group of four to five juveniles” on the evening of July 20 while sitting in a vehicle near his home.
When he refused to give up his money, police say Green was shot once in the shoulder. He was transferred to a local hospital that evening, but Green died from his injuries after nearly a week of treatment.So far, Graham is the only person charged in the case. He was booked into Mobile Metro Jail July 28 on charges of felony murder. According to available records, Graham was also arrested for second-degree assault and theft of property charges in 2012.
According to a press release, police said homicide detectives are continuing their investigation and “seeking others involved.”
