The Dec. 13 ArtWalk will be different from those in recent months. That’s because part of Dauphin Street will be closed to vehicles and only open for pedestrians.
Dauphin Street from Washington Avenue to Conception Street will be closed during ArtWalk, which goes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A citizen requested the street closure from Mobile Police Chief James Barber, who approved it but said MPD determine if the move is positive.
“We will monitoring the flow of traffic in and out of the area,” he said. “After that a report will be made recommending ways to improve the street closure or it could be that it is recommended to not happen again.”
