Daikaiju is the name given to the monsters of Japanese cinema such as Gamera and Godzilla. This makes Daikaiju the perfect name for one of music’s most prolific surf rock bands. With faces covered in kabuki masks, this band explodes from the first stroke of the strings, and the fury is non-stop for the entire set.
Daikaiju’s sound is a vehement flashback to the work of Dick Dale and Man or Astroman? Their nostalgic rock quickly made them a favorite not only in the Azalea City but also around the globe.
Straight out of Shanghai, Round Eye is also scheduled to perform. Round Eye is the self-proclaimed “sexiest, hairiest, loudest and most near-sighted band in the land of China.” The five-piece has concocted an unusually infectious style of underground rock. The description on their website is probably the most accurate. Round Eye combines “doo-wop, punk and free jazz” to create their trademark sound.
