Fagan, who has no prior criminal history in the county, was arrested Friday after the student reported the incident to the police. He has since been released on bond, but the status of his employment the schools system since the charges has not yet been clarified.
Rena Phillis, a spokesperson with Mobile County Public Schools, said the system’s policy is “not to comment on personnel matters.”
“All we can say is that Kevin Fagan has been placed on administrative leave,” Philips added. “We are cooperating with the Mobile Police Department on its investigation.”
On Baker’s website, Fagan is still listed as a member of the school’s staff.
