Baldwin County local election results

With 47 of 48 boxes in Baldwin County reporting as of 11:15 p.m.

With 47 of 48 precincts reporting, Donald Trump unsurprisingly leads Hillary Clinton, 77 percent to 20 percent, with minor candidates and write-ins making up the rest of the total.

Four of the five local amendments are passing, the notable failure being Local Amendment 3 that would allow the County Commission to create a road and bridge authority.

Unofficial totals are as follows:

Local Amendment 1, affecting the makeup of the Bay Minette Planning Commission
Yes 63 percent
No 37 percent

Local Amendment 2, allowing mayors to participate in the state Employees’ Retirement System
Yes 55 percent
No 45 percent

Local Amendment 3, allowing the Baldwin County Commission to create a road and bridge authority
Yes 48 percent
No 52 percent

Local Amendment 4, allowing municipalities to decide whether to allow golf carts on city streets
Yes 60 percent
No 40 percent

Local Amendment 5, affecting when appointed circuit and district judges would face election‘
Yes 77 percent
No 23 percent
