The Baldwin County Highway Department announced three road closings for drainage improvements set to begin on Aug. 25.
A portion of Baldwin County 49 South, between Magnolia Springs Highway and Downs Road, will be closed Aug. 25 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for drainage improvements. Drivers are encouraged to bypass the impassable area using Magnolia Springs Highway north to Baldwin County 16, then south on Baldwin County 19.
Also on Aug. 25, a portion of Baldwin County 38 between the Baldwin Beach Express and Brown Lane will be impassable to through traffic from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for drainage improvements. Drivers can take the Baldwin Beach Express south to Baldwin County 38 South as a detour.
The following day, Aug. 26, a portion of Baldwin County 38 between the Baldwin Beach Express and Downing Road will be impassable to through traffic from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for drainage improvements. Motorists are encouraged to detour using Baldwin County 36, Greenwood Church Road and Baldwin County 38.
