The Bellingrath Gardens’ Wonderful Wednesdays program features something to get the younger set back to nature. A morning of learning will teach them about the wildlife and ecology of the Gulf Coast and the Fowl River area with lessons from various experts.
The most exciting part of the day is likely to be the activities, displays and demonstrations by Winged Ambassadors featuring trained free-flight birds of prey. Other participating organizations are Mobile Baykeeper, Dauphin Island Sea Lab, Gulf State Park Nature Center, Alabama Coastal Foundation, Keep Mobile Beautiful and Mobile Bay National Estuary Program.
Entrance is free for members. For non-members it’s $12.50, $7 for children 5-12 and free for children under 5. There are additional charges to tour the house. Reservations requested.
