The bayou is coming to the beach. Jamie Bergeron & the Kickin’ Cajuns will bring a load of raucous Zydeco sounds to The Hangout stage.
A former paramedic, Bergeron has traded in the ambulance for an accordion. This South Louisiana Zydeco explosion has had music featured on the Discovery Channel, MTV and the Food Network.
When the band hits The Hangout, the crowd can expect “Cajun/Zydeco music at the highest level of energy that the law will allow.” This sonic magic has been captured on Bergeron’s latest album “Live Like Dat.”
The band’s off-beat take on Zydeco is seen from the beginning, with riffs from Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” plunging into Zydeco madness. The rest of the album predicts an epic fais-do-do in store for the denizens of Gulf Shores.
Those in attendance will not only have the chance to pick up the band’s latest album, but they can also purchase Bergeron’s “Shake It Shake It,” his trademark cowboy hat or a Bergeron bobble-head.
