Big 80s fundraiser for the Mobile Arts Council

Posted by Kevin Lee | Mar 19, 2014 | Art Gallery | 0 |

In case you’ve got old shoulder-padded jackets and leg warmers you’re just itching to break out again, then hold on to your moonwalking shoes because your chance has arrived. The Mobile Arts Council will host a Class of 1984 Prom Night fundraiser featuring DJ Hunter Clarke spinning all your Reagan-era faves, a vote for the evening’s King and Queen and the requisite spiked punch. Costumes aren’t required but who can resist a gnarly pair of parachute pants, right?

Tickets are $20 and can be acquired at Brown Paper Tickets or at the MAC offices (318 Dauphin St.). Unless you’ve got one of Doc Brown’s Deloreans stowed in the garage, this might be your last chance to rock some big hair outside of New Jersey.

For more info, call 251-432-9796 or go to www.mobilearts.org.

What: Class of 1984 Prom Night
Where: The Temple (351 St. Francis St.)
When: April 3, 7 to 10 p.m.
