Venue: Big Beach Brewing Co., 300 E. 24th Ave. (Gulf Shores), www.bigbeachbrewing.com
Big Beach Brewing Co. is using Halloween weekend to introduce the Gulf Coast to its fine selection of craft beer. In addition to its sudsy libations, this latest addition to the local craft beer scene will also be featuring live performances from local musical acts. At the apex of its three-day grand opening celebration, Big Beach Brewing will hold a Halloween celebration featuring Lee Yankie & the Hellz Yeah as well as a costume contest for all the beachside ghosts and ghouls.
Lee Yankie & the Hellz Yeah is the perfect band to accent this Halloween party. With his soulful mix of Southern rock, blues and soul, Yankie has crafted a sound molded and shaped by the region. His recent courtyard performance at the Exploreum’s “Guitars: The Instrument that Rocked the World” exhibit was a stellar jam session that steadily drew a crowd. Recently Yankie has been lending his production skills to Harrison McInnis as he prepares his upcoming album for mass consumption.
