The Gulf Coast Blues Boy is returning to one of the nation’s most beloved beachside roadhouses. Once again, Jamell Richardson will bring a case of the blues to Flora-Bama. Richardson began his musical journey at age 11. After regular performances in a church setting, Mel Waiters brought Richrdson into his fold. Richardson accented Waiters’ tunes with his fiery work on the electric guitar. In 2013, Richardson found himself in the film world when he played guitarist Jimmy Nolen in the James Brown biopic “Get On Up.” Since then, he has been concentrating on his own music.
Those who have not witnessed Richardson’s live show are in for a treat. Richardson’s work on the guitar is impeccable. In addition, this guitarist values the power of a great live show. Every time he takes the stage, Richardson provides a charismatic delivery of furious blues. Richardson’s live performances are filled with audience interaction and impressive showmanship that comes from years of experience.
