Flutist Andra Bohnet trains eyes and ears upward with her faculty recital “Space – The Final Frontier.” All works on the program have a whimsical connection to the celestial bodies and beyond, such as Ian Clarke’s effects-laden piece for flute and piano entitled “Hatching Aliens,” Gary Schocker’s “Sonata for a Lost Planet” for alto flute and piano and the Silverwood Quartet’s arrangement of “Stairway to Heaven.”
Bohnet will be joined by pianist Jasmin Arakawa, violinist Tom Morley, violist and guitarist Jonathon Clark and cellist Barbara Gabriel.
Entrance is $8, $5 for USA students, faculty, staff and seniors or youth under 18. Cash or check only.
