The two victims of a double homicide discovered today at Vaughn Photography on North Florida Street have been identified. Daniel Herbert Vaughn, 43 of Mobile, and his mother, 67-year-old Rosa Vaughn McGahagin of Spanish Fort, were pronounced deceased on scene.
Mobile Police confirmed this evening that both victims had suffered from gunshot wounds. According to police, an investigation identified 56-year-old Terry Walton of Pensacola as the suspect. Walton and Vaughn knew each other, but the relationship is unclear at this time.
Walton returned to his residence in Pensacola after the incident. As Escambia County Deputies closed in on his residence attempting to make contact, Walton shot himself, causing his death.
According to Mobile Police, the case is cleared with the death of the suspect. More information will be posted if it is made available.
