To the editor:
Nearly thirteen years ago, Busaba’s Thai Cuisine opened its doors in Mobile, Alabama. We were quickly and warmly welcomed into the downtown business community, and for that we are very thankful. We are equally thankful for our loyal customers who stood by us and supported our business endeavor with their kind patronage. We’ve met a lot of people along the way and we forged many wonderful friendships and acquaintances.
The time has come for us to close our doors. We are not yet certain if this will be a permanent closing, or if it is a temporary move on our part to allow us to restructure the way that we do things. One thing is for certain, and that is that Busaba has been toiling away in our restaurant’s kitchen as our only chef for nearly thirteen years, and it is past time for her to get out and enjoy a bit of what life has to offer.
Our staff had known of this closing for nearly two months, and kept it confidential for all this time. We are grateful to them, for we would not have been able to make Busaba’s work without their loyal dedication to their jobs. Wednesday, December 4, was their last day on the job and they stood with us to the very end. To them, we are much indebted and I offer my full recommendation to wheresoever their lives take them.
Not a single one of us knows for certain what tomorrow will bring. Busaba and I are already discussing the possibility of another business venture for us in Mobile. We’re not yet sure what it will be, or even when, but we most certainly won’t be able to sit still for too long.
In closing, we offer up our warmest THANK YOU to all of Mobile for helping us to make Busaba’s as successful as it has been over the years, and we wish you all well. The American Dream can come true. God Bless you all, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!
