It will be business as usual at Government Plaza for the beginning of the work week Monday after an aggressive cleanup of fire damage over the weekend, coordinated by the Mobile County Public Works staff and Team Roofing, the roofing contractor.
“I am pleased to report that the courthouse will be ready for business on Monday because of the significant cleanup effort by the county and our roofing contractor,” said Mobile County Commission President Connie Hudson.
The decision followed a meeting Sunday afternoon between Mobile County Commissioners, county engineers, courthouse police, Presiding Judge Charles Graddick of the 13th Circuit Court, and Mobile County District Attorney Ashley Rich.
All courthouse personnel are asked to report to work and citizens who have been summoned to jury duty are advised to show up at their appointed times.
