After the Conde Cavaliers kick off Mardi Gras 2014, the Particle People will take over LoDa. Particle will be bringing the glory days of jam to the Soul Kitchen stage. This group helped pioneer the infusion of live instrumentation and electronica into their music, and the style has continued to evolve with many new bands. This band was also legendary for playing seemingly never-ending shows filled with sonic twists and turns. Particle will use 2014 to introduce their first full-length album since 2004’s “Launchpad.”
Jon Wayne & the Pain will set the mood for the evening. This group will make friends fast in the Azalea City, as they glide through easygoing grooves with irie sounds filled with roots, rock, reggae and electronica. Their island vibes are so strong that it is hard to believe that they come from Minneapolis.
