The city of Mobile has launched an online portal to submit ideas for its comprehensive, long-range plan.

Citizens can submit an unlimited amount of ideas at The portal will close on April 29.

The site includes a map feature where users can select the “best” and “worst” areas of Mobile, and explain in their own words why they chose those specific locations. Users can also view a composite map of all the flagged locations.

“I encourage everyone to tell us their best ideas for Mobile,” Mayor Sandy Stimpson said. “We want to give those who aren’t able to attend a workshop the opportunity to share their vision for our city.”

On March 30, Stimpson hosted a “Focus on the Future” community workshop where more than 500 residents came together to share their ideas for Mobile. A second workshop is planned for May.
