As usual, Ben has a common sense approach to a subject. It would be my hope that our local leadership would read and encourage our national leadership to take a lead in helping us preserve this treasure.
Toward the end of the article he mentions a reason for the possible failure of our maritime museum. Ex-mayor Dow, I hope you have read this and pondered it a bit, as it makes sense. Having a ship to climb on would be much more beneficial than a restaurant and it would even be better if it was a life size reproduction of the Clotilda.
