The Baldwin County Judicial Commission nominated three attorneys for consideration by Gov. Robert Bentley to fill the pending vacancy for the position of Baldwin County Circuit Judge, Place 4, in of the 28th Judicial Circuit.
The position is currently held by Judge Robert E. Wilters, who announced his retirement in April. The position will become vacant effective June 8.
The three nominees are William “Bill” Scully Jr., Clark Stankoski and Scott Taylor. They were picked from a list of seven candidates to fill the position.
Gov. Bentley has 30 days to select one nominee from the list to fill the vacancy. If the Governor fails to make a selection within 30 days, the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court will make the appointment from the same list of nominees. The appointee will hold the office until the next general election.
