Could have been a crackhead that got ahold of the wrong stuff! Or it could have been your neighbor who spent too much time at O’Daly’s, Callaghan’s, Lucky’s or McSharry’s overindulging in green beer and live music. We hear they all had record crowds over the St. Paddy’s Day weekend. Callaghan’s owner John Thompson told a Boozie spy, it was “the biggest and best crowd ever.” O’shite! That’s great!
But wherever you celebrated, if someone messed with you on St. Patrick’s Day or you saw a leprechaun up in a tree, please send your amateur sketches to Boozie. I promise to investigate!
Before I put my detective cap on, though, I need to fill you in on all of the latest happenings around town… let’s get to it!
Crichton Leprechaun cannot be killed
Last Monday night, on “Jimmy Kimmel” the infamous WPMI Crichton Leprechaun video made an appearance on his show, including clips of the “could be a crackhead” woman and also the “amateur sketch.” Could we be any prouder here in Mobile? That video must be up to a billion-plus views at this point.
Kimmel made the usual snarky comments the video so richly deserves but he also gave one local business a huge shout out. Mobile’s Ellenjay Bakery apparently sent the show some of their delicious “amateur sketch” cookies, and he pulled one out during his monologue and said “if anything ever was magically delicious.”
Congrats Ellenjay! That is a tasty piece of marketing genius!
Anther local contestant on “The Voice”
Last Monday on Season 16 of “The Voice,” Rod Stokes, who is originally from Moss Point but not lives in Grand Bay, secured a spot on Team Blake by singing “To Love Somebody “ by The Bee Gees.
According to a press release provided by the show, “Rod grew up watching his sister sing in church, but he was too shy to participate. Being a larger kid, he ended up spending most of his time playing football. He continued to play in college, but his football dreams were cut short when he had to drop out to take over the family construction business. Without football in his life, Rod felt inspired to start singing and his family started their own traveling musical ministry.”
Last season, Bay Minette native Kirk Jay made it far into the contest. Will we have another South Alabama star? All signs point to yep!
S-E-X! S-E-X! S-E-X!
Auburn really had a great year in basketball. And apparently other things too! Not only did they win the SEC basketball tournament but according to CBS 42 in Birmingham, they also won some sort of SEX tournament. Well alright, Tigers. War Damn Eagle indeed! We always knew you were in it to win it, and you would, of course, pull it out (we hope)!
A man driving a black truck had a very interesting sticker on his back window. Judging by his other stickers, maybe he was once a “bass freak,” but now it seems he is a freak of a different sort. Rrrrrrooooowwww!
Well kids, that’s all I got. Just remember, whether rain or shine, dramatic or scandalous or some plain ol’, ass freak gossip, I will be there. Ciao!
