Daphne City Council candidate Larry Chason invites the residents of District 2 to join him at Manci’s Antique Club on Main Street at a Meet and Greet event scheduled for Aug. 4 from 5-7:30 pm.
Chason is enthusiastic about the event and his first run for elected office.
“I’m looking forward to hearing from my friends and neighbors in District 2,” Chason said. “Thus far I have been humbled by the support and encouragement I have received to pursue public office.”
When asked what he hopes to bring to the City Council, Larry pointed to his proactive approach and business-minded thinking as his primary assets.
“I want us to plan for our future, not just react as things happen,” he said.
Larry has 40 years of experience in the business world as a commercial real estate developer, which he believes will help him guide the city in a proactive way.
“We also need to preserve Daphne’s history and character by engaging in some concentrated efforts downtown,” he said.
Chason points to the two properties he currently owns in the downtown area, which he strives to maintain in keeping with what he calls “Olde Towne Charm.”
Residents are welcome to meet Larry and get to know him at the Aug. 4 Meet and Greet event, where he will take questions and hear concerns from attendees. Residents and supporters are invited to like his “Larry for Daphne” Facebook page for campaign news and event information.
Residents of District 2 can support Larry by voting Aug. 23 in the municipal election at the Daphne Civic Center.
Daphne’s District 2 encompasses the downtown area up to Bay Front Park Drive and includes neighborhoods such as Potter’s Mill, St. Charles Place, Montrose Village, Woodbridge, Oak Bluff, and Harbor Place.
