Joe Nichols emerged as a teenager from the arena country explosion of the ‘90s. As he matured, Nichols released his self-titled debut. While the album wasn’t a hit, it expanded his listening audience and hinted at things to come.
With the release of his sophomore effort, “Man with a Memory,” Nichols became a superstar. In the following years, his career blossomed with several platinum albums, Grammy nominations and six number-one singles including “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off” and “Brokenheartsville.”
Nichols has been touring in support of his latest album, “Crickets,” released through his own label, Red Bow Records. A reflective album financed from his own pocket, Nichols has described it as “very balanced.” His goal was to create an album containing both radio-friendly tracks as well as impressive B-sides. “Crickets” has already attracted both new and seasoned listeners with hit singles such as “Sunny & 75” and “Yeah.”
