The Blues Tavern is the Azalea City’s source for free live music all week long. This venue will host the debut of one of the city’s most impressive new bands, Everybody’s Here.
This is the latest project of T.K. Lively, best known as the drummer for Mobile’s beloved hometown band Wet Willie. Lively has assembled a collection of some of the area’s most talented musicians. This 10-piece group features the obligatory guitar, bass, drum combination plus a five-piece horn section, rarely seen on the local front.
Everybody’s Here will be a tribute show, with Tower of Power as the focus. The Oakland, California-based group hit the national scene in the late ‘60s with its upbeat mix of funk, soul and R&B. The band chose a perfect name to match is sound. Tower of Power has spent nearly 50 years delivering a potent and influential style of music that has inspired many bands.
