In the beginning, The Moody Blues were like many other British bands in the mid-’60s, attracting a listening audience with catchy hits such “Go Now.” As the decade progressed, the music scene evolved. The mod scene was traded for the psychedelic.
The Moody Blues began experimenting with progressive and psychedelic rock, resulting in their legendary sophomore effort, “Days of Future Passed” — considered by many to be one of the most innovative British albums of the ‘60s and one of the first British concept albums. The group created a musical experience that could be likened to an orchestral composition. This album contained timeless tracks such as “Nights in White Satin” and “Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?).”
Since the ‘60s, The Moody Blues have continued to tour and release new material. Their live shows are a memorable experience that can sometimes include a live orchestral accompaniment. Their Beau Rivage performance should include tracks from “Days of Future Passed” as well as numerous other hits from across the decades.
