Daphne High School football coach and athletic director Glenn Vickery has been placed on paid administrative leave, according to Baldwin County Schools Superintendent Eddie Tyler.
In a statement released by the school system on Saturday, Tyler said Vickery will remain on leave pending a Baldwin County Board of Education human resources department review related to board policies and procedures.
“It’s important that no preliminary conclusions be made or speculated and allow the review process to be conducted thoroughly,” Tyler’s statement reads. “This is all the information that we can share at this time.”
Vickery has been the head football at Daphne since 2004 and won the state championship in 2010. He was previously a football coach at Davidson High School and Mobile Christian.
