The Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo is adding a little music to the mix with the Rodeo Weekend Music Festival, an event that will include musical performances at free outdoor stages and venues across the island. The Rodeo Weekend Music Festival includes a long list of talented musical acts that will be performing daily. However, there are several groups that festival-goers will not want to miss.
The “Liar’s Contest” will highlight Thursday evening at Rodeo Headquarters. Afterwards, Alabama’s big daddies of “newgrass,” Rollin’ in the Hay, will take the stage.
Friday, singer-songwriter Leland Clay is scheduled to perform at Mack ‘n’ DD’s at 4 p.m. Clay is a true master of his craft and his audiences cannot resist infectious songs such as “Zwi Do Be Da” and unique ballads such as “Vampira.”
Rondale and the Kit-Katz are scheduled for the West End Stage on Saturday at 4 p.m. With her unique brand of rock, Rondale’s audience is sure to fall in love with her beautifully penned original works.
Festival-goers will want to finish out their weekend with a Sunday performance from Markus Fox at JT’s Sunset Grill at 1 p.m. With his guitar in hand, Fox brings his audiences a lineup of homegrown country.
