The Foley Police Department arrested and charged two people with burglary, kidnapping and interfering with custody after an incident Monday.
Officers responded to a report of burglary and kidnapping at 218 Tradewind Ct. and upon arrival, they discovered a 16-year-old juvenile had given the house keys to her non-custodial parent through a window at her residence.
Elizabeth Swistok-Boyd, the non-custodial parent, and Aubrey Griffin made entry into the residence through the front door. Swistok-Boyd and Griffin gathered the juvenile’s belongings then put the 16-year-old and two 10-year-old children into a vehicle, which was driven by a third party.
Swistok-Boyd and Griffin went back into the residence, armed with firearms, and awakened Micah Richardson, the children’s father, and Kimberly Richardson, the stepmother. The pair then duct taped their hands, put them in the car at gunpoint and drove them to Mobile.
Foley officers tracked down the children and took them back into custody. Swistok-Boyd and Griffin were charged with first degree burglary, two counts of kidnapping and three counts of interfering with custody.
Agents with the FBI assisted with the investigation.
