Each year, the riff-raff populating Pirate’s Cove combine efforts with High Hopes 4 Autism for a charitable event that lives up to its name. The Pirate’s Cove Autism FUNraiser features food, music and, yes, fun for all ages. Proceeds from the event will be focused on High Hopes 4 Autism’s mission to both educate the public and assist those challenged by autism. In addition to a silent auction featuring over 200 items, this weekend-long event will feature two draw-downs with Jeeps as the grand prizes.
Ja’ Rhythm will kick off the weekend on Friday night with a warm batch of irie Caribbean sounds. Singer-songwriter T-Bone Montgomery will start Saturday with a sound influenced by his time in Muscle Shoals and Orange Beach. Joe Taylor & Them Again will follow with down home acoustic goodness. Grateful Dead tribute band East L.A. Fadeaway will end Saturday’s festivities. Sunday will feature Kelly Poole and The Swingset as well as the Elvis tribute, the Promised Land Band.
