To say female roles have changed in American society over the last half-century is like saying Mobile has occasional sprinkles of rain. If you’ve lived with a woman in the workplace, you’re acquainted with the struggles they’ve endured or tolerated in proving their relevance and value to business. Now you can not only get the straight dope on these trials but commiserate, compare and network with other women who faced the same.

This event for those 21 and older features a 30 minute presentation with an excerpt from the highly acclaimed TED talk web series. Also on the bill is speaker Dianne Irby, Mobile’s executive director of Planning and Development who will talk about her experience as a female political figure.

Attendees are asked to bring an appetizer. Beer and wine are available by donation.

The event is free.
