Some decades are legendary for combining raucous activity with the music of the time. The ‘20s were synonymous with loose morals, jazz, reefer and ragtime, and Atlanta’s Blair Crimmins & the Hookers are carrying on the spirit of this decade with a collection of songs that tend to whip their crowds into a fury.
This group is no stranger to the OGD, and they will be bringing a ton of new sounds, courtesy of their latest album “Sing-A-Longs.” They can shift the crowd into hyperspeed with relentless numbers such as “Run That Rabbit Down.” The ‘20s also had its grooves and this group does the decade justice with tunes such as “It’s All Over Now” and “The Krog Street Strut.” This will definitely be one of those shows the Callaghan’s regulars will be talking about if not into the next decade at least into the next week.
