Ambassador Girl Scout Ann Claire Carnahan is working toward her Gold Award, which is like the Boy Scout’s Eagle Award, and in doing so helped out a Mobile non-profit.
“For my project, I have created Keep Mobile Beautiful’s first ever website, www.keepmobilebeautiful.org. The website was launched this weekend and is proving to be a huge success,” Carnahan said in an email to Lagniappe. “Now that I have completed the website itself, I am working on getting the word out about it, to help improve Keep Mobile Beautiful’s communication with Mobile citizens.”
The UMS-Wright Preparatory School student also announced a contest Keep Mobile Beautiful is holding to promote the website.
People should visit the website and then go to the Keep Mobile Beautiful Facebook page. “Like” the page, then comment on the page about the website and you are entered into a competition to win tickets to Bellingrath Gardens, which was just named the best place to Christmas lights in America by howstuffworks.
