The Attic at The Blind Mule will be holding a pre-weekend party with a four band lineup. Mobile’s Paid to Pretend will be performing. These SouthSounds alums just celebrated the release of their new single, “Little Love Letter.” This melancholy tune is a perfect mix of rock and soul filled with hypnotic harmonies and a clean wave of instrumental goodness.
Muse to Sirens is one of Mobile’s newest bands. This trio has found power in minimalism. Acoustic guitar and tribal percussion cradle an ethereal vocal delivery by Vanity Ladner.
The Juice is Okay will be traveling from Pensacola. This band pulls influence from ’80s British goth rock. However, this group has a brighter take on this typically gloomy genre.
Glazed Eyes will also be representing Pensacola. Judging from their two-song “Demo 2019” release, Glazed Eyes pulls from ’90s alternative sounds in the style of The Lemonheads. Hopefully, this band will continue to build this impressive, classically inspired sound.
