SUBMITTED — Gov. Robert Bentley on Monday signed Executive Order Number 25 naming, as associate justices, the seven judges who will constitute the Special Supreme Court that will hear the appeal of Chief Justice Roy S. Moore.
On Thursday, Oct. 27, the Alabama Supreme Court drew names of judges from a pool of retired appellate justices and judges, retired circuit court judges and district court judges. The clerk of the Alabama Supreme Court then provided the names to the governor of the seven judges selected and willing to serve.
