The bands of the SouthSounds Music Festival cannot get enough of the Azalea City, and the feeling seems to be mutual with local music fans. Great Peacock is sure to earn new fans and bring out the dedicated ones as they once again return to the OGD for evening of classic sounds.

This duo is comprised of longtime friends Andrew Nelson and Blount Floyd. These young musicians met after they independently moved to Nashville to pursue musical careers. They quickly made a connection and began laying plans for what would become Great Peacock.

The duo began to conjure muses from the roots rock sounds of the ‘70s and infused their sound with a healthy dose of Americana. In early 2013, Great Peacock went into the studio and captured the music they had crafted with care and the self-titled debut was the end result.

And they are not waiting to give fans another taste of their unique sound. Within the last few weeks, they entered the studio with Lester Nuby III (Maria Taylor, Wooden Wand) to lay down tracks for a new single, which they hope to release by Christmas.
