Alchemy Tavern is featuring three exceptional musical acts from the Gulf Coast alt. rock scene with the Azalea City representing to the fullest.
The Hallers brings together Brian Dunbar (drums), C.J. Rowe (guitar), Brendan Manceaux (guitar/vocals), Caleb Brown (keyboard) and Criss Grissim (bass). In an effort to find the perfect mix of musicians, The Hallers has gone through a number of lineup changes with Manceaux and Dunbar maintaining the foundation. The band is planning to release its debut EP in “mid to late 2015.” The band has crafted an indie rock sound accented by instrumental depth.
Since their founding, Mobile’s The Volks have maintained a steady work ethic and regularly played shows in the area. This group has also been spreading its musical amalgam of Southern and garage rock through its self-titled debut album. The band is busy preparing for a follow-up release and possibly an overseas tour.
These local bands will host Will Vance and the Kinfolk. Based in Southern Louisiana, this group is venturing beyond its region to share its brand of blues rock with the Azalea City. Will Vance and the Kinfolk’s latest offering is the single, “When I’m Dead,” a modern blues rock anthem accented by crunchy, hard-driving guitar licks.
