According to the Daphne Police Department, officers there responded to a report of a gunfight on Tuesday in the Daphnmont Subdivision that landed one of two suspects in jail.

After being shot in the leg, Brandon Nail Reed forced his way into a neighboring home at gunpoint to avoid police, and was then able to flee the area to evade police.

Reed later attempted to seek medical attention at a hospital in Mobile, where he was arrested for first degree burglary and transported to the Baldwin County Jail.

The identity of the second suspect is unknown at this time, however, officers in Daphne say the investigation continues.
