Guitarist Daryl Hance has spent the last 12 years on the road in JJ Grey’s back-up band (Mofro), but he has now taken a break from Mofro to concentrate on his solo project.
While he is known for performing with a full band, Hance will be doing his Flora-Bama gig solo and performing his set “one-man band style.”
He will fill his set with impressive guitar work and cuts from his debut “Hallowed Ground.” “Hallowed Ground” is track after track of raw, raunchy blues, mingled with rock and funk. Songs take on hypnotic blues riffs, which are laced with twisting vocal layers.
The Flora-Bama crowd also might get the chance to hear new material from this guitarist. Currently, Hance has been busy in the studio recording the follow-up to “Hallowed Ground.” So far, the album is comprised of “15 tracks total consisting of 11 full length songs, one short song and three instrumental pieces.”
