The Blind Mule is billing this show as a “Friday night rock ‘n’ roll special” that is not for “softies,” featuring underground music from two local bands and two out-of-towners.
Greenwood Elementary is one of Mobile’s newest underground sensations, and will add its new sounds to the mix. Hibachi Stranglers have spent more than a decade bringing their dirty garage punk to the local scene; whenever they take the stage, the room descends into an epic dance party.
With bands ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Jacksonville’s music scene is legendary. No Mold represents the underbelly of this city’s musical talent. With songs such as “Brain Vomit” and “Sex Headache,” No Mold is an aural assault of rock ‘n’ roll goodness.
Manic & the Depressives will be traveling to Mobile from Orlando. Guitarist Negative Nancy and bassist Debbie Downer trade vocals throughout their set. The end result is punk madness that flows from grinding to the speed of light.
