Mobile-based Hargrove Engineers + Constructors recently announced the continued expansion of their footprint into the Southeastern region. Their newest office is located at 100 Executive Center Drive in Greenville, South Carolina. This site is Hargrove’s 14th full-service operation and its first established brick-and-mortar site in the Palmetto State.
The property is reportedly a former paintball building and covers some 32,000 square feet of office space in total. Hargrove is renovating one quarter of the site (8,000 square feet) with plans to expand into the entire footprint sometime in the future as staffing and work demands dictate.
“Hargrove has offices ranging from 60 to 500-plus teammates in now 14 locations across the U.S. The Greenville location is off to a healthy start and looking forward to sustainable growth going forward,” Hargrove marketing leader Susan Shaw said.
“We are excited to grow the Hargrove footprint on the East Coast,” Greenville division leader Keith Hays said. “Bringing our unique culture to the area will create great career opportunities and will allow us to provide regional clients the level of service Hargrove approaches to business.”
Hargrove has grown steadily year over year and now staffs more than 2,200 technical and professional workers collectively. It is a uniquely flat organization that eschews traditional organizational business hierarchy, reflected in a nearly company-wide nomenclature of “teammates” for employees, regardless of rank, role or responsibilities.
To date, the philosophy has evidently proved effective towards cultivating a “team first” atmosphere, as reflected in rankings from industry peers. Among other awards earned, Engineering News-Record recently recognized the firm as No.1 for chemical plants and No. 5 for both pulp and paper and industrial processes.
“We continue to listen to our clients and grow with their needs in mind,” president and CEO Ralph A. Hargrove said. “This has been our approach from the beginning. Each move we make is client-driven as we focus on their needs, plans and expectations, which ultimately leads to mutual success.”
Founded locally in 1995, Hargrove is a privately held, multimillion-dollar, full-service EPC (engineering, procurement and construction management), controls and automation, life sciences and technical services firm. Next year marks Hargrove’s 25-year anniversary and the company has experienced better-than-average growth, opening at least one new location regionally every year since 2016.
